The biggest news is the reveal of an incredibly unexpected Champion joining The Contest in January 2026: J. Jonah Jameson!
The famous (and notoriously schlubby) editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle isn’t stepping into the Battlerealm alone. He will be piloting his iconic Spider-Slayer robot, a fitting callback to his long-standing mission to capture or defeat Spider-Man. Jameson is slated to arrive as a TECH-class Champion, ensuring he can truly go toe-to-toe with gods and monsters.

The celebrations continue into the new year with the highly anticipated return of the MCoC Banquet Event, often the game’s biggest resource-earning event of the year.
The Banquet Event (Asgardian Gala) begins on December 19th and runs through January 2nd. Players can expect to feast on resources and participate in returning celebrations like the Accolades Event and the New Years ‘Ring it in’ Arenas.
Crucially, the Banquet Event offers players their first opportunity to acquire newly available Seven-Star Champions, including major Spider-Villain-themed characters:
